Family life is kind of hard sometimes. The mornings are hectic, the days long, and the evenings filled with chores. It can take its toll on the best of us.
Case in point: Grover (We call him Coco in Spanish.)
Grover-Coco became part of our family less than two years ago. Look how furry and cute he is.
Now, almost 2 years later, Grover has aged a bit. He doesn't look so cute anymore. In fact, he's a bit rough around the edges.
And his nose has been bitten flat.
And his lip is curled in.
He's been around a lot, you might say: done a yeoman's duty, seen some action. In fact, it all might drive a saint to the drink.
Oops. Caught on film.
But you know, the
velveteen rabbit was right. You don't become real, really REAL, until a child loves you.

HA! We had Leo the Lion who had a beautiful mane - long and soft and shaggy. At least, that is, until he got in to the fabric softener (poor substitute for vokda me thinks) and now he has a tight, dryer shrunk halo around his head. His boy still loves him to pieces though...
fell off my chair with laughter...
I have a little guy on my lap that has eyes for coco. maybe a little something in the bottle for mom!
Ha, ha! Great post :D
